Tell us what you're after, how you go about it, how experienced you are and where you are, and we'll show you people who line up. Your contact details stay private until you choose to share them.

How it works

  1. Sign in with your email. No password to remember; we send you a one-time link.
  2. Build your profile. The sailing you're into (club racing, cruising, deliveries…), the positions you can fill, the waters you sail, your experience level, and whether you want crew or a boat, a mentor, or someone to mentor.
  3. Set your area. A state or province, or a radius in miles around your ZIP or postal code. Near a border? Add a second area and match on both sides.
  4. Get matched behind the scenes. Matching uses your full profile, but a match only sees your public card: one line like Experienced helm / trimmer sailor into weeknight club racing in Ontario, plus a 1–100% match rating.
  5. Post a crew request, or answer one. Skippers put the boat, positions, dates and location on the Crew Board. Crew offer in one click, and their contact details go only to that skipper. Every request has a public page and a printable QR flyer, so sailors who aren't members can offer too.
  6. Chat first. Message each other on the site. Nothing else is revealed.
  7. Stay safe out there. Heading out with someone new, or offshore? File a free Scan Your Plan check-in from your dashboard: if you're not back by your return time, your emergency contact gets your plan.
  8. Share on your terms. When you're comfortable, show someone your full profile. When you're ready to meet, connect by sharing your contact details. Each step is yours alone to take, and you can block anyone at any time.

What's in a profile

  • Experience: Never done it before · Beginner · Intermediate · Experienced · Pro / guide
  • Sailing résumé: what you've done and how often, e.g. 40 club races, 3 offshore passages, 2 deliveries.
  • Gear & resources to share: your own boat, a slip or mooring, foul-weather gear and PFDs to lend, racing sails, a spare bunk. Private until you share it, so nobody joins just for the boat.
  • Photo gallery: up to 12 photos of your boat and sailing. Private until you share it.
