About this guide
The Jeep Model Guide lists every Jeep, newest first: 33 models, 53 generations, and 480 model years so far.
How it's organized
- Models are the names Jeep sold, like the Wrangler, the Cherokee, or the CJ-5. A name used more than once (the Cherokee, the Wagoneer, the Gladiator) is one model with each version as a generation.
- Generations go by the factory's code where there is one (JL, XJ, SJ), with the engines, the sizes in inches and millimetres, the trims, and where it was built.
- Model years are listed newest first, with what was new or changed that year.
Where the facts come from
From the maker's own press material where it exists, then well-known references and clubs. Each generation's page lists the sources it was gathered from. Where a number couldn't be confirmed, it's left out rather than guessed, and where sources disagree, the page says so.
Spotted something wrong or missing? The sources on each page are the best place to check, and corrections are welcome.
