Jeep Cherokee (KM)
Revealed in Brooklyn in August 2025, the new Cherokee brought the name back after a two-year absence with a squared-off, upright body that recalls the XJ, a seven-slot grille, and jerrican-style taillamps. It rides on Stellantis' STLA Large architecture and is sold only as a hybrid: a 1.6 L turbo four and two electric motors make 210 hp, with an estimated 37 mpg combined and no plug. It is longer, wider, and taller than the KL it follows and has about 30 percent more cargo space. A Trailhawk with a two-speed power transfer unit joined for 2027.

Production start date not confirmed; Stellantis Mexico reported the first unit for the Mexican market in February 2026. The 2027 Trailhawk is rated at an estimated 31 mpg combined, versus 37 for other models. Stellantis said in August 2026 that the next-generation Cherokee will be the first U.S.-built vehicle on its STLA One platform, at Belvidere, Illinois, with retail production in the second half of 2029.
