Jeep Liberty (KK)
Revealed at the 2007 New York show, the second Liberty was a squarer, roomier redesign built on the same Toledo line as the Dodge Nitro. The four-cylinder and diesel were gone in North America, leaving a 210 hp 3.7 L V6, and it debuted the Sky Slider, a full-length folding canvas roof that Jeep called an industry exclusive. Standard stability control, roll mitigation, and side-curtain airbags were part of the package, along with Command-Trac part-time or Selec-Trac II full-time 4x4. Sales fell sharply after the first year, though special editions such as the Jet and Arctic and a 2011 interior update kept it going until the Cherokee returned.

Notes
Renegade years: Jeep's 2011 release says the Renegade arrived in mid-2010, while Wikipedia lists it for 2009 to 2011; Jeep's 2009 and 2010 releases list only Sport and Limited. Latitude: Wikipedia says 2010 to 2012 or midyear 2011; Cars.com lists a 2012 'Sport Latitude', but Jeep's 2012 release names only Sport, Limited, and Limited Jet. Towing: 5,000 lb with a weight-distributing hitch per Jeep; a 2009 release also mentions 3,500 lb, and Cars.com lists 2,000 lb for a 2012 base model. Dimension ranges are from Wikipedia (earlier and later figures), with Jeep confirming 106.1 in and 176.9 in and Cars.com consistent. Wikipedia also lists assembly in Egypt and Venezuela and a five-speed automatic for export diesels; these were not cross-checked. The KK was sold as the Cherokee outside North America.
