Jeep Recon (first generation)
The Recon puts Wrangler-style open-air touches on an electric SUV: the doors, rear quarter glass, and swing-gate glass come off without tools, a Sky One-Touch power top is available, and a full-size spare hangs on the swing gate. Two 250 kW drive modules give standard four-wheel drive, 650 to 670 hp (Jeep has quoted both), and 620 lb-ft, with a 100 kWh, 400-volt battery behind steel shields. The launch Moab model has an electronic locking differential, a Rock mode, 33-inch tires, and 9.1 in of ground clearance. Production slipped from early 2026, and its 222-mile EPA rating came in below Jeep's estimates.

Trims and editions
- Moab
Worth knowing
- Jeep calls it the only fully electric Trail Rated SUV.
- The Moab's rear drive unit uses a 15:1 final drive, with approach, breakover, and departure angles of 33.8, 23.3, and 33.1 degrees.
- A 14.5-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch cluster, plus a 3.0 cu ft front trunk.
- Because it is built in Mexico, it does not qualify for U.S. federal EV tax credits.
Year by year, newest first
- Revealed November 18, 2025, priced from $65,000 plus $1,995 destination.
- Launched in Moab form only; production slipped from the planned early 2026 start, with U.S. sales beginning later in 2026.
- The EPA rated it at 222 miles, short of Jeep's earlier estimates of up to 240 to 250 miles.
Notes
No factory code found, so the generation slug is 'first'. Jeep has quoted both 650 hp and 670 hp for the same motors. Range estimates were up to 240 miles (U.S. release, November 2025) and up to 250 miles (Canadian release and Detroit show); the EPA figure is 222 miles. Reported towing differs (3,300 lb and 3,500 lb), so left null. KBB lists a $68,990 starting price, unlike Jeep's $65,000 plus destination. Other trims are expected later.
