Jeep Renegade (BU)
Jeep's first entry in the small SUV class, the Renegade was designed in America and assembled in Melfi, Italy, the first Jeep built only outside North America. It brought the class its first nine-speed automatic and a rear axle that disconnects to save fuel, while the Trailhawk added a low-range Active Drive Low system and Trail Rated badging. A 2019 refresh brought a 1.3 L turbo, and Europe later added e-Hybrid and 4xe plug-in hybrid versions. US sales slid from over 100,000 a year in 2016 and 2017 to about 26,000 in 2023, and Jeep dropped it in North America after that year, but the Brazilian-built version carries on with a 2027 update.

Notes
Trailhawk crawl ratio: Jeep's releases say 20:1 (2015 to 2018), 21:1 (2019, 2022, and 2023), and 21.5:1 (2020 and 2021). Width: Wikipedia gives 71.1 in, while Cars.com and TrueDelta list about 74 in, so it is left null. Fuel tank: Cars.com says about 13 gal (rounded), not confirmed further. Brazil facelift year: Wikipedia places it in 2023, but Canaltech reports the revised 2022 line revealed on February 10, 2022. 4xe electric range: about 26 mi (UK reports) versus up to 31 mi (MoparInsiders). The 2027 mild hybrid is reported on the mid trims (Longitude and Sahara) in Stellantis Brazil material that could not be opened; MoparInsiders confirms it on the Longitude. The 2019 Europe item and the Chinese plant dates come from Wikipedia only.
