Jeep Commander (Brazil and India; Meridian in India)
Jeep's first vehicle fully developed and built in Brazil, the Commander is a stretched, three-row relative of the second-generation Compass, about 365 mm longer on a wheelbase roughly 146 to 158 mm longer. It debuted in Brazil in August 2021 with a 1.3 L turbo flex engine or a 2.0 L turbodiesel, and India got it as the Meridian, diesel only, in May 2022. Brazil added a 272 hp Hurricane turbo four and a five-seat version for 2025, then a facelift with slimmer LED headlights for 2026. It has been a strong seller in Brazil, passing 70,000 units by August 2025.

Notes
No factory code was confirmed in the sources read, so the slug 'second' is used. Wheelbase stretch over the Compass: Autocar India says 146 mm (versus the Indian Compass), Wikipedia says about 158 mm. Indian diesel torque: most sources say 350 Nm, but Rushlane's 2025 article says 250 Nm, likely a typo. T270 output: 185 hp at launch (Brazilian press) versus 176 hp in 2026 coverage. The 2026 diesel is listed by MoparInsiders as a 2.2 L of 200 hp; earlier years used the 2.0 L TD380. Model years: Brazil sells it as the 2022 model from its August 2021 launch.
