Jeep Grand Cherokee (WL)
The fifth-generation Grand Cherokee arrived back to front: the stretched three-row Grand Cherokee L came first as a 2021 model, and the two-row version followed for 2022. The new unibody platform has independent suspension front and rear, offered up to five screens including one for the front passenger, and brought the first Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid. The 5.7 L V8 was gone by 2024, the 4xe ended after 2025, and a 2026 refresh added a new face, a 12.3-inch centre screen, and the 324 hp Hurricane 4 turbo four. Off-road Trailhawk and plush Overland models returned for 2027.

Notes
Wikipedia gives the L's reveal as January 7, 2021; the two-row was revealed September 29, 2021 per Jeep (Wikipedia says September 30). Plants: early press material puts both versions at Mack; Wikipedia says the two-row is built at Jefferson; the 2026 and 2027 material lists both Jefferson and Mack. Wikipedia also lists assembly in India and Egypt. The two-row V8's exit is dated late 2022 by Motor1 and mid-2023 by Motor Authority. The 2023 L fact sheet rates the V6 at 290 hp and 257 lb-ft, other releases at 293 and 260. Jeep's October 2025 release said plug-in hybrids would continue for 2026, but Stellantis confirmed in January 2026 that the 4xe ended with the 2025 model year. Width: Wikipedia 77.9 in, Jeep 84.6 in (apparently with mirrors), so left null. Ground clearance is the 2027 Trailhawk maximum; air-suspension models were quoted at up to 11.3 in (2022) and 10.9 in (later). Towing range covers the 4xe (6,000 lb), V6 and Hurricane (6,200 lb), and V8 (7,200 lb).
