Jeep Compass (MP)
The second Compass debuted in Brazil in September 2016 and in North America at the Los Angeles Auto Show that November, and was built for customers in more than 100 countries. Riding on a stretched version of the Renegade's small-car platform, it replaced both the first Compass and the Patriot in North America and offered a Trail Rated Trailhawk with a 20:1 crawl ratio. A 2022 update brought a new cabin, Uconnect 5, and more standard safety equipment, and for 2023 a 200 hp 2.0 L turbo replaced the 2.4 L Tigershark. North American models come from Toluca, Mexico, and the Compass is Jeep's entry model there through 2027.

Notes
Code MP per Wikipedia (also 552). Wikipedia gives a 103.9 in wheelbase, 174.0 in length, 71.7 in width, and 65.0 in height; not cross-checked, so left null. Melfi and the other non-Mexican plants are from Wikipedia; Jeep's 2017 release names only Brazil, China, Mexico, and India. Outside North America it was also offered with 1.3 L and 1.4 L turbo gasoline engines, diesels, and a 4xe plug-in hybrid (Wikipedia). Towing is up to 2,000 lb on 4x4 models. In Canada the trim names differ (Sport, North, North Altitude, Limited, Trailhawk for 2026). The 2027 model year has been announced and is on order.
